Visitor Center 30 min Narrated Multimedia Tour
Hosted by National Park Service
New experience
A thirty-minute narrated multimedia tour of the visitor center at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, part of the site's narrated multimedia tours and virtual reality center. Indoor photographs show museum galleries: a long glass display case hung with rows of black-and-white portrait photographs and small text panels, with a concrete marker reading UNKNOWN DECEMBER 7 1941 set on the shelf below; a table of objects including an optical instrument on a rail mount, a vintage radio, a camera and binoculars beside printed panels and maps; and a wall-sized map of O'ahu ringed with typed charts, flanked by upright interpretive panels and a console with a round scope and switches. Outside, two large grey ship anchors stand on concrete pedestals inside a ring of heavy black chain and rope, on a paved plaza with clipped lawn and palms and a low visitor building with an arched canopy behind. A view from the water shows the white USS Arizona Memorial with a flag flying above it.
